We are promoting the NEDO pioneering research project titled 'Continuous recycled carbon fiber and aircraft application technology,' which aims to achieve horizontal recycling of recycled carbon fibers into secondary structural components and interior parts of aircraft. In this exhibition, we will display three of the project's outcomes.
1. Prototype floor panel for cars made from thermoplastic CFRP: A hybrid molding of cross beams using chopped CF prepreg and LFT-D.
2. Prototype battery case model made from recycled carbon fiber: A prototype molded using LFT-D with 91% recycled CF recovered from CFRP waste.
Long members with complex cross-sectional shapes can be fabricated at high speed using continuous forming technology (pultrusion forming + roll forming).
