Our fleet is both diverse and capable, tailored to meet a wide range of aviation needs. We operate ultra-long-range aircraft such as the Gulfstream G650ER and Falcon 7X, ideal for international travel. Our jet fleet also includes the Challenger 605, Challenger 604, Challenger 3500, Challenger 300, Citation Sovereign, Gulfstream G150, and Learjet 45, offering premium solutions for various charter needs.
In addition to jets, our turbo prop fleet includes the Dash 8-300 and 200 series, Beech 1900D, King Air 350, and King Air 200, providing reliable service for shorter-range and regional operations. Sunwest Aviation is also a certified training provider, offering Transport Canada-approved programs for the Dash 8 200/300 series and the Beech 1900D, ensuring that our crews are trained to the highest standards.

Sunwest Aeromedical, a fully owned subsidiary of Sunwest Aviation, is a leader in specialized air ambulance services. Operating with aircraft managed by Sunwest Aviation, Sunwest Aeromedical is dedicated to delivering world-class medical care during critical patient transfers. Our EURAMI accreditation reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence in aeromedical services.
With extensive experience in the field, our team understands the stress and challenges that come with medical emergencies. Our mission is to minimize that stress, allowing patients and their families to lean on our expertise during these difficult times.
Our fleet is specifically designed to meet the diverse needs of air ambulance missions. For long-haul, multi-crew missions, we utilize a Challenger 604, capable of carrying two ICU patients simultaneously for patient transfers lasting over 30 hours. For shorter missions, we deploy Learjet 45s, King Air 350s, and a King Air 200, ensuring versatile and reliable service for a wide range of medical scenarios.
Our expertise encompasses the care of patients on ventilators, those requiring ECMO, managing infectious diseases such as COVID-19, and handling bariatric cases, ensuring the highest level of care regardless of the complexity of the medical condition.

Sunwest Aviation proudly serves as the official distributor of Shell Aviation Fuels at Calgary International Airport (CYYC), providing top-tier fueling services to a diverse range of aircraft. We operate the largest private hangar facility on the field, featuring four expansive, heated hangars totaling 110,000 square feet. This extensive facility accommodates aircraft of various sizes, up to and including the Boeing 737, ensuring our clients have the space and support they need for their operations.
Our operations are active 24/7, offering around-the-clock support to meet the diverse needs of our clients. We provide a comprehensive range of services, including heated hangar rental, ramp parking and tie-downs, aircraft detailing and grooming, and full-service aircraft maintenance. Our de-icing services are conveniently located adjacent to our ramp, ensuring quick and efficient service during Calgary's cold winter months.
Sunwest Aviation's ramp spans over 200,000 square feet, providing ample space for parking and operations. Our facilities also feature a Canada Customs Office (CANPASS) for seamless international arrivals and departures, making our location ideal for both domestic and international clients.
