Overview of Commercial Aviation Business
MHI Commercial Aviation Systems supplies major components of commercial airplanes, including the wings and fuselages to the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers – Boeing, Bombardier, and Airbus. As an international joint development and manufacturing partner, we offer world-class scope of operations and technological capabilities. In the aftermarket business, MHIRJ, one of the largest maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) service provider for regional jets in the United States, serves as the backbone of airline fleet operations. Also, we are expanding into new areas, such as unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), by utilizing the expertise we have gained over the years. HTV-X：Next- generation cargo transfer spacecraft
For human-rated space exploration, cargo resupply vehicles are indispensable to supply crew members aboard the International Space Station（ISS）with water, food, and experimental equipment. MHI has participated in the development of the H-II Transfer Vehicle（HTV/KOUNOTORI）and also in the completion of its all nine successful cargo resupply missions to the ISS. And currently, MHI is participating in the development of the HTV-X, the successor of H-II Transfer Vehicle.
