The New Industry Research Organization (NIRO) is working to promote local industry and revitalize the economy through support activities for local small and medium-sized enterprises. As the COVID-19 pandemic has caused major changes in the industrial structure, we are focusing on four fields that are expected to have high growth potential and providing strong support to companies that are making great strides through their own transformation in response to social changes.
- "DX (Digital Transformation)" that changes the style of society
- "Environment and Energy" that accelerates toward carbon neutrality
- "Health and Medicine" that overcomes COVID-19
- "Aerospace" that supports post-COVID society
We are also working on "intellectual property utilization" and advanced "manufacturing" as the technological foundation to increase the value of these, as well as the development of "distinctive local industries."
