AeroTEC's Design-Build-Fly capability offers an end-to-end solution for developing & demonstrating aerospace technologies. This capability integrates all stages of aerospace product development.
Design: AeroTEC’s design phase involves thorough requirements analysis and planning, conceptual design, and advanced simulation. This process ensures that every aspect of the design meets rigorous AS9100D standards for efficiency, safety, and functionality.
Build: In the build phase, AeroTEC handles detailed part design, prototype manufacturing, and aircraft modifications. Our facilities support precision manufacturing and integration, including the development of specialized components and modifications to existing airframes.
Fly: The fly phase encompasses comprehensive testing and evaluation. AeroTEC manages component testing, ground testing, and full-scale flight testing. We utilize specialized test equipment and wind tunnel modeling to validate designs under realistic conditions.
AeroTEC offers expert Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) certification services, providing end-to-end support for modifying existing aircraft to meet regulatory standards (FAA, JCAB, EASA, etc.).
Pre-Certification Planning: We start with detailed planning & requirements gathering to define the modification scope & impact.
Design & Development: Our engineering team designs & develops the modifications, using advanced simulation tools & modeling techniques.
Documentation & Compliance: We prepare comprehensive documentation for the STC application.
Testing & Validation: AeroTEC conducts rigorous testing & flight tests as required at our state-of-the-art facilities flight test center.
Regulatory Liaison: We act as the liaison with regulatory agencies, managing doc submissions, addressing inquiries & resolving issues to streamline the approval process.
Post-Certification Support: We assist with installation, provide operational guidance, & address any post-certification concerns.
AeroTEC has extensive experience designing & building wind tunnel models of varying complexity to meet customer requirements. Models can be designed and built for development as well as certification testing.
Our engineers implement a variety of materials & manufacturing processes to find the best balance between production cost, speed of manufacturing, & accuracy through 3D printing & precision machining. Many of our design engineers have also lead test programs & understand the need for model designs that support efficient testing.
We can offer additional value by creating test plans, managing test programs, & coordinating with wind tunnel facilities on behalf of our customers. Additionally, our design engineers can provide mid-test manufacturing support.
To help our customers reduce cost, we can perform CFD analysis using our advanced simulation tools to evaluate preliminary designs, & allow for more focused wind tunnel testing to verify results & refine the final design.
